Diosmin: This is a flavonoid, which is found in high concentrations in fruits of the genus Citrus (lemons, oranges, grapefruits), primarily in the white part of the skin (called albedo) and in a few other plants.
Hesperidin: This is a flavonoid, found mostly in the skin and albedo of citrus fruits and, to a lesser extent, in the green leafy vegetables. It is a precursor of diosmin.
Melilot: This grows in abundance in Campania; its stalks were used to create head garlands. The leaves and flower tips contain coumarin, responsible for its action on venous function, particularly on the haemorrhoidal plexus.
