It plays an important role in the production of seminal fluid, and for this reason it is associated with male sexual activity.<\/p>\n<p>Under certain conditions, however, prostate disorders can occur that can affect a man&#8217;s quality of life. If you think these annoyances are rare, you\u2019re wrong. Let\u2019s have a look at the numbers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Prostate disorders: not just a matter of age<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>More than 6 million Italians have prostate problems<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>, <\/strong>practically 1 out of 2 Italians.<br \/>\nIn fact, according to the Italian Society of Urology (SIU), this condition is second only to blood pressure disorders in men over 50.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI\u2019m 30. When I\u2019m 50 I\u2019ll think about my prostate\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is a typical phrase of those who don\u2019t think it\u2019s necessary to keep the prostate under control. Be aware, however, that this gland\u2019s well-being is influenced not only by age.<br \/>\nAlthough age certainly causes changes in the levels of <strong>testosterone<\/strong><strong><a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a><\/strong>, the male hormone par excellence. There are many other factors that can influence prostate function, one of which is lifestyle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>very sedentary job<\/strong>, where you must sit for long periods of time, for example, can increase the probability of developing prostate disorders.<\/li>\n<li>But there\u2019s more: <strong>subjecting the bladder to stress<\/strong> by retaining urine or practising sports such as horse riding, cycling and motorcycling where one sits can increase discomfort levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How to recognise an SOS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have urinary tract disorders, it might be a prostate problem. Due to its position, prostate disorders can influence urinary function.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Don\u2019t lose your passion: some tips<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Today, at 50, a man has a whole (passion-filled) life to live before him!<br \/>\nWhat is the best tip for a man who wants to stay healthy and have an active life between the sheets? Take care of your prostate.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at some tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Active lifestyle<\/strong>: decide to go for walks during your lunch break or after work;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Balanced diet;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Specialist<strong> check-ups<\/strong> and more: with simple urine tests, prostate-specific markers can be kept under control.
