Olive tree: It is a fruit tree, used by the ancient Greeks for food. Olives, its fruits, are used for the extraction of olive oil and, to a lesser extent, for direct use in food. The extracts of its leaves are rich in oleuropine.
Garlic: The characteristic smell of garlic is due to numerous organic sulphur compounds including allicin and its derivatives. It regulates the function of the cardiovascular system and blood pressure.
