Even though all the precautions were taken here, the typical illnesses of the winter season are peeping. If for the most acute hassles, the duration is a few days, you can’t say the same for malaise and tiredness, which are felt for longer.

As soon as the seasonal disorders improve, you immediately return to normal activities, although the body has not recovered entirely and “ask us” still a few days off… here are some tips to help our body recover and get up from the sofa!

No to junk food, yes to oranges

After days when you didn’t want to eat, the first sign of an improvement is going back to feeling hunger. However, please note that the body is not ready for calorics and fat meals. It is better to prefer a balanced and light diet.

There are no specific rules: it is essential to avoid fried and sweet junk food and move towards healthy foods; especially seasonal fruits and vegetables, as they are rich in vitamins and minerals. One food that must not miss is oranges, a beneficial vitamin during recovery, for their richness in Vitamin C. In addition to maintaining the function of the immune system, it also has antioxidant action, optimal as  winter season disorders expose the body to oxidative stress.

Think of your intestine

It is the pivotal organ for the well-being of the body, and in particular, the microbiota, known as intestinal flora, plays a fundamental role. After the disturbances of the winter season, especially if we have taken antibiotics, the balance of the microbiota can be compromised, and you can witness intestinal dysbiosis. That is to say, a decrease in the number of microorganisms that make up the healthy bacterial flora is associated with increased growth of bacterial species, potentially causing disturbances.

The intake of probiotics is beneficial to restore the balance of the microbiota.

From bees, the strength to recover quickly.

The two substances produced by bees, propolis and royal jelly, are a natural solution for man. The royal jelly, in particular, is recommended in the period of recovery, and according to tradition, mothers made the inappetent children eat it.

In addition, the properties of royal jelly can be enhanced if combined with energetical substances such as vitamin B12 or tonic such as Ginseng extract, useful for example, in case of physical and mental fatigue.

Rehydrate

Maintaining the proper hydration is always essential: but it is even more so after a period of malaise; because it allows replenishing the liquids lost through sweating or gastrointestinal phenomena. Drinking prevents dehydration, which can lead to feeling more fatigue, feeling the sense of thirst inappropriately, and lowering pressure. If you don’t want to drink water, herbal teas are fine.

Eliminate toxins

In general, winter season disorders and the drugs taken can affect the overall balance of the organism, increasing the production of toxins.

Still, if, in addition to taking more liquids, you also add a supplement based on plant extracts beneficial for the purifying effect, the benefits can be more significant. For this reason, it is helpful to cleanse the organism during the recovery period. Indeed following the previous advice, you are already in the middle of the work.

An adaptogen for friend

Did you know that both the immune and mental systems are affected in a stressful event for the body, such as seasonal disorders?

For this reason, you feel “down “, sad and agitated about the return to normality.

Fortunately, there are several adaptogens substances in nature that help the body cope with stressed events, such as Rhodiola, which also promotes the normal mood tone and can provide us with the correct charge to return to normal.

Getting up from the couch

It’s not true that you can’t leave the house during the recovery. Cover well in such a way as not to catch a cold but, except for this recommendation, a walk,  is good for the body and  mind and allows us to recover quickly.
